Lauralee Benjamin (she/her) is a femme erotic artist from Queens. She has always been interested in the ways women harness and express their sexuality. In her work, Lauralee explores the connections between sex, love, lust, pain, revenge and control, based on her own experiences in relationships and sex work. She uses images appropriated from pornography to hijack the patriarchal sentiments and flip them into feminist narratives. Lauralee hopes that others, women in particular, can relate to the positive and negative emotions she’s trying to convey. We carry prints, lighters and other original art of Lauralee's at SHAG <3
