Like a thoughtful friend with good advice, Sex Without Roles provides helpful phrases, a nonjudgmental perspective, and the wisdom of having been there and done all those things. The zine is especially aimed at those exploring their gender identity or beginning to transition, but it provides valuable reading for anyone who wants to be a better sexual partner to themselves and others.

Author Eli Sachse, BSN, RN is a transgender writer and artist. He makes zines and prints by hand from his home in Merced, CA. As a lifelong creative, he has curated group art exhibits at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center and created collaborative arts programming and events for the local community. Eli is the founder of the Pride Center at the MAC, GLSEN Merced, and LGBTQ Merced, where he serves as a volunteer administrator. He has also served as a disaster volunteer with the American Red Cross since 2017. He writes a weekly newsletter on trans health, politics, and his advocacy projects, available on Substack.
