Humiliation Class and Senior Lab
with Sea

This class combines the following classes by Sea: (1) Demystifying Psychology of Humiliation and (2) Humiliation: Now It's Time to Play.

Does hearing the word humiliation make you uncomfortable? Are you puzzled why someone would find humiliation erotic? Do you enjoy humiliation but are conflicted about it? Do you want to know how you can expand your humiliation play?

We begin by briefly discussing the psychology behind humiliation: what are the differences between D/s humiliation and SM humiliation, why someone might like to engage in these practices, and what are risks. Then we focus on identifying themes for humiliation play, and how identifying themes allows one to use their creativity. We then have an example interview of a sub to discuss what types of questions to ask, and how to interpret the answers. Then we collectively brainstorm to create a humiliation scene based on the answers from the interview.

Helpful to:

* Those who do not understand why someone would enjoy humiliation.
* Those who wish to do humiliation play but must overcome personal conflict.
* Those who wish to learn more about how to pursue this type of play.

This class is paired with: Psychology of Submissives, which immediately precedes Humiliation Class and Senior Lab (Psychology of Submissives - July 11, 2-4 pm)

Bio

Sea, also known as undergroundsea, has been a BDSM gypsy of sorts for almost 13 years and attends social and educational events across BDSM, leather, and fetish communities in multiple cities. He is proud to call home Austin, a city where a homeless crossdresser is a local celebrity who ran for mayor, a local band bases all its songs around the lead singer’s fetish for feet, and adults gather each year to celebrate the birthday of Eeyore—yes, Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh!

Sea has done his share to help, as they like to say there, keep Austin weird. His contributions to the Austin scene include hosting and promoting a fetish night for three years, during which time he wrote and directed, performed in, and arranged music for multiple fetish shows. BDSM influences his artistic expression, which has occurred in the form of fetish photography, DJing music for scene events, dance, and writings. He has also done stand-up comedy at multiple BDSM events.

Sea regularly presents at BDSM events across the country with a focus on communication and psychology, especially the psychology of submissives. He was recently invited to join the Advisory Board for DomCon Los Angeles and DomCon Atlanta. His current projects include speaking at college human sexuality class, visiting vanilla forums and taking a tactful stand for BDSM as needed, and providing information to those seeking out BDSM or ambivalent about their interest. His past contributions include chairing the Austin chapter of The Next Generation BDSM group for four years.

He comes to the East Coast to present at TES Fest, an annual convention hosted by the first BDSM group to form in the U.S. After TES Fest, he will deliver a series of seminars across Washington D.C., Philadephila, and New York City.
