Partner Body Painting Workshop
with Danny Setiawan

This is a casual workshop for anyone who wants to practice or explore the art of body painting. We will have snacks, drinks and music to help you get in the creative mood.

Bring a friend, lover, partner, mom, dad, or brother! This class is geared towards creating some art on one another in a fun and engaging atmosphere. The class will start structured with some examples and techniques demonstrated by the instructor; as the students get comfortable working with the paints, they will be free to express themselves however they see fit. The instructor will be providing individual attention and guidance for each student, insuring a thorough hands-on training.

Throughout the class, our in house photographer will document the process. You will receive the images free of charge and we will let you know how to obtain the pictures during the class.

You don’t need to bring anything to the class other than your friend/partner.

Bio

With the human form as his canvas, dSetia creates vivid works of art. Some of his interpretations, immediately recognizable replications of great paintings of the past, are so arresting in their visual impact the fact they are executed on bare flesh becomes almost secondary.

Many of dSetia’s original works draw inspiration from his native Indonesia and other influences of South East Asia. A classically trained fine artist, dSetia immigrated to the United States in 1998, and received his Masters of Fine Arts degree from Parsons School of Design in New York in 2003. His great skill, attention to detail and passion for art is evident in each of his unique renderings.

dSetia is a resident of New York City. Whether reproducing a known work of art, painting one of his own creation, or adapting someone else’s idea, he can create an elegant finished piece that will not only be admired but most certainly talked about. He is accepting commissions for corporate events, private paties, advertising assignments, and other functions.

Technique

In his body painting, dsetia does not use airbrush and he only uses paints that are specifically created for skin application. The technique he employs for body painting is very similar to what he does in traditional painting.
