Bio

Annie Sprinkle
Annie Sprinkle, Ph.D. is the prostitute/porn star turned artist/sexologist. She has passionately researched and explored sexuality in all of its glorious and inglorious forms for thirty-six years, and has shared her findings through producing and starring in her own unique brand of sex films, participation in photographic work, and teaching workshops and college lectures. She is also an internationally acclaimed artist who tours with performance and visual art, which centers around her life in sex and love.

Annie has long championed sex worker rights and health care. She was one of the pivotal players in the 80’s "sex positive feminist movement". In 2002 Annie earned her Ph.D. in Human Sexuality, making her the first porn star to get a Ph.D.

Her autobiography, Post Porn Modernist, is a pioneering cult classic. Hardcore from the Heart: The Pleasures, Profits and Politics of Sex in Performance, won the Firecracker Alternative Book Award (2002). Sprinkle's last book, Dr. Sprinkle's Spectacular Sex-- Makeover Your Love Life, was her first mainstream how-to self-help book.

Darryl Hell
Darryl Hell is a veteran musician/mixed media artist. Cutting his teeth in the early punk rock movement of the late 1970's and early eighties, Hell explored a wide spectrum of eclectic life. As a DJ in the early 90's, he became connected to the NY/NJ/Philly BDSM community, which brought a formalized understanding of behaviors 15 years prior. DJ Darryl Hell became one of the resident DJ's for the SMack! multimedia fetish party, one of the largest annual fetish events in NYC. His unique perspective is based on more than thirty years of personal experience during his own sexual exploration, having the benefit of being immersed in exploratory sexual culture.

Hell produced video with Penthouse for a BDSM project under Don Guarnieri. He also produced video for the tribal sex-rock band Flesh Fetish and the SMack! fetish party.

With Abby Ehman, Darryl Hell began a series of sex parties called, "plEasurE." It was designed to be in the spirit of the 1960's San Francisco loft party culture and would specialize in providing a platform for couples to explore their erotic/sexual boundaries in a safe environment.

In Hell's alter-life, he develops community betterment programs and mentors people for social and artistic purposes, in addition to public speaking and panel moderating. The connection of the dialog developed
in the two worlds helps him to provoke communication about "difficult-to-discuss" issues.

Anandi Premlall
By day, Premlall serves an integral part of educating New Yorkers in making environmentally conscious decisions in their lifestyles, organizing events, building partnerships with like-minded individuals and business. She shares her love and dedication to the Earth by bringing people of all ages to plant, care for and beautify urban forests and public spaces across the 5 boroughs.

As an eco-nerdy artist who strives to create more compassion by foster awareness and consciousness through positive change, she is dedicated to developing sustainable lifestyles and cities. Her scribblings include psycho-sexual fiction and erotic poetry. Biology, microbiology, nature, space, and the unseen are all elements Premlall incorporates into her painting.. Art is also where the playful child inside comes out—the colors and fun, and also the woman—sensual—filled with emotion and intensity.

Premlall was featured in Green America’s National Green Pages 2009 for using simple environmentally-friendly methods to heal her home. She walks the talk by indulging in a life of international veg*an cooking, natural health and healing, ayurveda, yoga, meditation, promoting sustainable-organic-local-ethical practices and education. She also developed a line of yummy body scrubs, soy candles and soaps.
