This introductory class is taught by the International Producer of Sugar Shack Burlesque, Miss RunAround Sue, and is a perfect way to rev up your engines for the weekend!
Sip upon complimentary champagne while Miss Sue leads participants through the basic moods and attitudes of burlesque, while encouraging students to use their own uniqueness to infuse the choreography taught in class. Choreography will include the bumps and grinds, stocking and glove peels and other classic burlesque moves. This workshop is perfect for students wishing to dip their toes in performance or simply wanted to spice up their private life.
Students are asked to bring a pair of heels. Each class includes complimentary champagne. Class is limited to 15 students.

Often called "The Moving Violation" and "The Make it Happen Girl", RunAround Sue (www.sugarshackburlesque.com) currently produces and performs regularly in NYC, Brooklyn, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Washington DC. She has had the honor of performing at the New York Burlesque Festival, Slipper Room, Starshine Burlesque, Sweet and Nasty Burlesque, The Jalopy Music School, Ars Nova, Galapagos, Public Assembly, The Living Theatre, The Palace of Wonders, and many other enchanting venues on both coasts and on both sides of the Mason Dixon line.
RunAround Sue has had the pleasure of introducing burlesque to Bermuda and Montauk, NY and has her sights set on other still untouched territories. In 2008, she returned to Richmond Virginia where she was instrumental in shaping the current burlesque revival there. In 2010 RunAround Sue expanded her horizons with performances and classes taught in London, Malta and France. In 2011 Sugar Shack Burlesque opened the year with a highspirited show in Miami and is currently working on a late spring tour of the south as well as a west coast tour this fall. She is inspired by the freedom of burlesque and hopes to use it to make the world a better place.
